Stability
Vitamin B12 is not stable when in an environment containing pro-oxidants. Some Ingredients, especially those found in multi-vitamins, will have cross-interactions with the vitamin B12 and destroy it. LycoRed Vitamin B12 Stablets^® adsorb the vitamin B12 onto pharmaceutical grade ion-exchange resin. A chemical bond is formed, protecting the vitamin B12 until it enters the body where it is released.

Uniform distribution
The RDI (recommended daily intake) of vitamin B12 is only single micrograms[if the RDA is 1 mcg, say that... not "only single micrograms"] (follow link for European Union RDA information)
.This presents a challenge to manufacturers who must accurately dose the vitamin B12. LycoRed uses proprietary technology to ensure a highly homogenous trituration. The 0.1%-5% triturations allow the vitamin B12 to be distributed evenly throughout the dosage form.
