Health BenefitsRecent research has increased the interest in vitamin K, a fat soluble vitamin normally found in green, leafy vegetables. Vitamin K has been linked to blood coagulation, bone mineralization and vascular health. Many multi-vitamins and fortified foods contain vitamin K.

Excelent Stability
Vitamin K is an active molecule, and reacts easily with other ingredients, especially in a multi-vitamin environment. Phytonabeads uses LycoRed's proprietary beadlet technology to protect the vitamin K₁ in a gelatin-based matrix. Phytonabeads are ideal for multi-vitamin and tablet/hard-shell capsule formulations.

Uniform Distribution
The RDI (recommended daily intake) of vitamin K for adults is 80 micrograms (follow link for European Union RDI information). This small amount makes it a challenge for manufacturers to accurately dose the vitamin K₁. LycoRed uses proprietary technology to ensure a highly homogenous trituration.
