Microencapsulation
LycoRed uses advanced microencapsulation technologies to protect sensitive ingredients and provide functionalities such as heat-stability and slow-release profiles. The active ingredient, such as a vitamin or mineral, is covered with a protective coating. The coating, which is specifically designed to provide the desired effect is applied to the ingredient. Applying a double-coating can provide additional functionality and allow use in a larger variety of food and beverage applications. CapsuDar® ingredients use many different coating materials, which vary in their solubility, heat resistance and regulatory approval.
