アースデイは私たちにとって特別な思い入れのある日なので、今年は全力でお祝いしました。私たちはニュージャージー州モントクレア警察署と提携し、自閉症についての認識を高めると同時に、私たちのトレーラーパークで地元の家族が自然を体験できるよう支援しました。生きているインスタレーションは、子供たちが地球と個人的なつながりを築き、自然に対する永続的な感謝の気持ちを抱くのに役立ちます。それはまた、庭がどんな場所でも、たとえ少し変わった環境に見える場所でも、いかに開花させることができるかを示す一例でもある。
他にも、塗り絵ステーション、ステッカー＆タトゥーテーブル、鉢植えステーションなど、たくさんのアクティビティが用意され、子供たちは自分だけのローズマリーの種を植えて持ち帰った。自閉症についての認識を高めるため、ゲストはパズルのピースに名前を書き、トレーラーパーク内に吊るした。パズルピースの収益金はスペクトラム360と 自閉症スピークスへ寄付され、私たちは寄付金と同額を寄付させていただきました。記念すべきアースデイとなり、地球市民である仲間に感動と恩返しができたことを嬉しく思います。
