At Flavor Experience 2021 in Monterey, we treated attendees to a Bloody Mary Snack mix with ingredients enhanced with our natural flavor booster, SANTE. Derived from tomatoes, SANTE is not only a healthy alternative to sodium-laden MSG that helps reduce the risk of hypertension, it’s also the result of our efforts to minimize waste and our burden on the environment by finding ways to use all parts of our tomato crops to support plant-powered wellness.

Want to make your own Method of Preparation:
1. Preheat oven to 250°F.
2. Add the egg whites, monk fruit sweetener and 2 cups of granulated sugar into a large bowl and whisk until egg whites become frothy, approximately 30-45 seconds.
3. Working in batches, add the cashews to the egg white mixture and stir to coat.
4. Place the cashews on a silk mat or parchment lined sheet tray, pouring any excess egg whites evenly over the cashews.
5. Using a rubber spatula, stir to combine and spread cashews into an even, single layer. Cashews should not be stacked on top of each other.
6. Place in the oven for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and spread ½ cup of granulated sugar evenly over all of the cashews.
7. Stir to combine and spread into an even layer.
8. Place back in the oven for another 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and spread ½ cup of granulated sugar evenly over all of the cashews.
9. Stir to combine and spread into an even layer.
10. Place back in the oven for another 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and spread the last ½ cup of granulated sugar evenly over all of the cashews.
11. Stir to combine and spread into an even layer.
12. Place back in the oven until the cashews have turned golden brown and the sugar coating has hardened, approximately 10-15 minutes.
13. Remove from the oven and stir. Spread back into an even layer and let cool for 15-20 minutes.
14. Working in three batches, place the cashews in a large bowl.
15. Spray with canola oil and toss cashews. Continue spraying and tossing until cashews begin to glisten.
16. Add 17.5 oz of the seasoning blend and toss until cashews are evenly coated.
17. Place cashews back on the sheet tray and let cool completely.
18. Repeat with the 2 remaining batches.
