Making sure that our products deliver what they promise is one of the most important facets of our mission to cultivate wellness. We do this by backing each one with extensive research, which also helps us discover more benefits. Our latest study of the effects of Cardiomato™ was conducted by scientists at Naturalpha Clinical Nutrition Center at Hôpital Saint Vincent de Paul in France. We’re pleased to introduce our new heart health results, Proprietary Tomato Extract Improves Metabolic Response to High Fat Meal in Healthy Normal Weight Subjects, which were recently published in Food & Nutrition Research here.

The study showed that after only two weeks, the carotenoid-rich tomato extract in Cardiomato™ inhibits the oxidation of Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL), the form of cholesterol most often associated with heart disease. Our own Dr. Karin Hermoni was excited about the implications for “[t]he use of a whole food extract from the tomato as a method of addressing the oxidation of LDL, the most dangerous form of cholesterol, and improving the metabolic picture following a meal[. It’s] a new concept.” As always, we’re excited to be at the forefront of new possibilities by offering comprehensive clinical research to back our products.
