Full hearts, full stomachs
We served tomato soup at Magic Mountain to help nourish skiers from the inside. It was made with our flavor-enhancer SANTE, which helps preserve the indulgent taste without the use of MSG. Made with natural taste-enhancers from tomatoes, SANTE has a lower level of salt in it than MSG (which is better for reducing the risk of hypertension and protecting your heart.)
If that sounds good to you, don’t worry—we won’t leave you out in the cold. Follow the recipe below to try it for yourself.
1 6oz. can of tomato paste
1¼ cups of low sodium chicken broth
16 oz. water
½ cup of roasted red peppers
¾ tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. onion powder
1 tsp. salt
½ tsp. white pepper
1 pinch nutmeg
1 pinch cinnamon
1 pinch ground cloves
1 pinch ground cumin
5 oz. heavy whipping cream (36%)
¼ cup pure cane sugar
• Drain the roasted red peppers and chop until course (not pureed).
• Add ingredients into a saucepan, mix well, and bring to a simmer.
• Let simmer for 10 minutes on low heat. Stir occasionally until ready to serve.
