Because we never rest in our work to find innovative ways to sustainably reduce our impact on the earth across all our operations, we wanted to showcase our work to tread lightly on the planet in a new way to celebrate Heart + Soil Day this year. At an installation in Santa Barbara, we created a wall filled with hundreds of marigolds with a packet of marigold seeds in the shape of a footprint and handed them out to passersby. As we gave them out, the footprint gradually disappeared to reveal an image of our tomato farm as a visual reminder of how gardening and plant-based nutrition can help reduce our carbon footprint.
